Speedtest is a simple application that determines the speed or bandwidth of an iPhone connection. Speeds can vary greatly among wireless carriers, but also in various locations within the same carrier network. The test has been run in more than 150 countries and has sent 10 terabytes of data through Carrier networks for characterization – the equivalent to the printed version of the Library of Congress.
Speedtest was ranked as the ninth most popular download by Apple Inc. for 2008 in the Free Utilities category and has surpassed 1 million downloads.
